The range of pricing for all of the different variations of the head. Usually the higher prices are for very unique versions.

Who manufactures the model.

Mounting/Driving:
Generally there are two types of body mounting and two types of driving:
  • Body Mounting:
    -Slot Mounting: Where the stitch head body has a block mounted on its back, permitting side to side adjustment.
    -Bolt Mounting: The stitch body is threaded and is bolted to the machine or has a threaded pin protruding from the back that bolts to the machine.
  • Driving:
    -Lug Type (Rail Drive):
    There is a rectangular lug protruding from the back of the head that fits into a rail on the machine.

    -Crank Type:
    There is a round pin protruding from the back that is driven by a crank on the machine

Crown Size: The width of the top of the stitch.

Capacity: The maximum amount of material that the head can stitch well. Note that thicker wire is often necessary for thicker stacks.

Wire Range Round: The range of round gauge wire that the stitch head can do with standard configuration. Most heads can use thicker and thinner wire with some part changes.

Wire Range Flat:
The range of flat gauge wire that the stitch head can do with standard configuration. Most heads can use thicker and thinner wire with some part changes.

Center To Center Minimum:
This is the closest distance that you can get two heads together and operate. This is the measurement from the center of the crown of one stitch to the center of the other. *Note: On side feed heads (every one above but the 26A, 26D, and the M2000), the thicker you stitch, the wider this dimension.

Speed:
The fastest speed at which this head can operate.
