Guide shaft or guide rod for the center of the pull arm on early Polar 115 CE and 115 EL cutters, built before machine serial number 4731747. These early Polar 115 EL and 115 CE are the ones that use 2 shear bolts in the pull arm and use a roll pin to secure the bottom of the guide rode in place. If your pull arm uses a set screw to mount the guide rod in place then see our part number G16005 The later 115 EMC 2 cutters (after about 1984) have a single center shear bolt and use our part number G16008 This 14mm diameter alignment rod fits up the middle of the pull arm to prevent it from flapping around and causing damage when the shear bolt breaks. It is made from centerless ground drill rod for maximum toughness. Overall length is approximately 15" long. (original Polar part number 207463 or 218649)
