Features
Replaces the original cylindrical die cutting spacer that wears out and requires regular re-leveling of the platen to compensate for their wear.
A matched pair.
For EHD and EHE models.
Here are some heavily-mushroomed spacers
Note the wear in the bearing blocks too
Easy to replace- 1) Do one arm at a time. Loosen the setscrews for the two guide rods and the thinner center rod and pull them all out. The center rod will no longer be used so it can be put away. 2) Remove the springs, the spring spacers inside of the springs, and the dwell spacer. 3) Slide the block in between the old shim plates. You can stack the shim plates together if you wish, they don't need to be on either side of the block like the old spacer needed to be. 4) Slide the guide rods through the shims and block down to the original position and re-tighten the set screws.
It is very likely that your old spacers were unevenly worn and often the bushing block was also damaged so the platen may need to be re-leveled.
