We rebuild these cylinders in our machine shop.
We first pressure test the body for cracks that may leak. Cracks are welded and tested again.
All seals and wipers are replaced, regardless of condition, with the highest quality modern seals.
The cylinders are then compression tested to approx 30% - 50% over the rated PSI and checked for any leaks.
Cylinders that pass, are painted.
To maintain inventory, we require a core cylinder to be returned to us for credit. When you purchase a rebuilt cylinder, you will be charged a core fee, that is included in the listed price. When we receive your old cylinder, inspect it, and find it to be rebuildable, you will be refunded the fee. (Usually within 3 days of us receiving the core)
-If you do not have a core, the fee will remain added to the cost.
-Not all cores are salvageable.
