G40538 -  Polar Shear Bolt and Nut for Polar 80 EL Paper Cutter
Features
Steel Shear Pins for Polar 80 EL & Polar 80 ST Paper Cutter (equivalent to Polar 208943). This alloy steel shear pin or shear bolt fits most Polar 80EL paper cutters. It has a "D" style head, round with two wrench flats machined into it. The main shank is 45mm (1.77") long below the head. It has an M9 thread.

Included with each of these shear bolts or safety bolts is a mating washer faced hex nut (collar nut, Polar part number 208944).

Note that before machine serial number 62001, Polar supplied these machines with an 8mm diameter shear bolt, (Polar part number 208941, with Polar nut 208942.) Most of the pull arms on these early model 80 machines were drilled out to accept the later style of shear bolt (G40538) which was standard after 1961.
